Masses of crowds, well one person, the landlord, joined Strikeitlucky FC on their victory parade through the bar at the Harvester on Monday night.
The pub was heaving with anticipating supporters (of the carvery really) and they soon buggered off once the team got there!
The trophy is now on display for all to see at the pub.
With regards to the game, nuff said. It was poo. The only good thing to come from it is a false sense of confidence from Bounty Hunters who we will play next season in Div 2. They will think they have the better of us but we know that we will be a different team next season, and will put them to the sword!
Elliott Dempsey picked up his 5th MOM and bagged a brace and Jamie Steptoe kept up his fine goal scoring form with the other, but they were scant consolation in a game that the Luckies we never really up for as they had already won, and dominated the league.
The whole season was by far the best the boys have played for a while and they more than deserved the title.
It was a great effort from all involved and our congratulations go to the boys. Well done fellas!
