REAL good performance!

Whoa! What a win for the boys last night! The Luckies made 2nd place Real Rational FC look ordinary in their 6-3 win.
Let's not forget this team has only lost to Bicesterlona (who are hammering everyone in the league) and that was only 5-4!
It shows how far they have come as a team and that is how they won again this week, by giving a fantastic team performance!

From the off Strikeitlucky sensed that the opponents were not up for it. (Turning up late didn't help). They soon capitalised when Jason Bell got on the end of a lovely passing move to slot home. The boy is on a run at the moment!
After a few missed chances from the Luckies, Real actually equalised. I can't remember how and don't care either!
Never the less, Kingston popped up to fire through the keepers legs shortly after and made it 2-1 at the break.
Strikeitlucky came out the quicker in the 2nd half and it wasn't long before Kingston got his 2nd after the keeper only half cleared. Though, yet again, Real got a goal against the run of play to make it 3-2 and a few nerves started to jangle.
Then the midfield started to fire and Dempsey, Hudson and Powell all had chances go close along with some tenacious tackling and cultured passing moves. The opponents could never get the ball off them and the lads constantly threatened when given the chance. Dempsey could have had a hat-trick but the final passes to him, mainly from Kingston, were crap!

Nick Belcher, Bell, and new signing Tony were solid at the back again and apart from some tired tackles towards the end due to some deserved fatigue on a very hot evening, they were flawless.
Tony even supplied one of the moments of the match. After confusing screams from the supporters of "SEE IT OUT" and "GO HOME, GIVE IT TO MARK!" he decided to Cryff(ish) his opponent and calmly pinged it up the line to feet. Nice start fella. Don't let it go to your head!
Mark Edgar was superb yet again and a string of solid saves built confidence for the rest of the team to attack.

The nerves finally disappeared when Hudson met a long ball from Powell and rose like a salmon at the far post to convert a great header home despite the threat of getting nailed by the keeper!
Moments later, Kingston bagged his 3rd from a free kick to make it 5-2 just before Real got another after Edgar bottled a 50/50! (only kidding mate, after all he was all of 4' 6" tall!).

The game was eventually put to bed when Hudson latched on to a loose square ball and fired in to the corner first time. We all found it funny because the keeper was poop!

All in all, yet another brilliant team performance which means that 1 point from the last two games will all but guarantee Strikeitlucky's survival in Div 2. Two wins out of two and they could go up!

BRING ON THE MIDGETS!
