Strikeitreallywell!

They are almost there!
After their 7-2 demolition of 'promotion rivals' The Star Inn, StrikeitLucky are brimming with confidence and lead the pack with 5 wins out of 5, their best points haul ever, and still with two games left to play. They are all but promoted for the frst time, bar the shouting.

Those two games come in the form of new boys Bounty Hunter Brigade, but first, the Old Firm Derby against ye olde rivals, Sad Hams Allstars, on Monday night.

The Luckies have as much motivation as they'll ever need. They are desperate to beat their ongoing foes and the fact that they could win the league AND beat them at the same time means that Craig Powell's ever improving team will be more than up for what is never an easy game.

However, if they carry their form through to next Monday, they will walk it. Just like last night...

After a nervy start the Luckies conceded two simple and poor goals when they went hunting for the killer blow early on. This was possibly the best thing to happen as it brought them down to earth. The defending became more solid and slowly but surely, the chances started to come. After a few half chances, Matt Kingston slotted home off the post after a mazy run. A few moments later, a throw in from Steve Steptoe was chested by Kingo, he turned the defender and volleyed into the top corner! Game on!

However, after that it became tense and the Luckies were lucky to fall into half-time still drawing 2-2. This was mainly in part to Bell and Powell sitting tight at the back and a string of good saves from Mark Edgar in goal.

A kick up the backside from the gaffer later, the re-motivated boys came out all guns blazing and started to dominate. Eventually the 3rd came after great work from the Steptoe boys and the 4th wasn't far behind. StrikeitLucky have scored some great goals from passing moves lately and these two were up right up there. Ping-pong-ding-dong-GOAL! Simple as that!
Elliott Dempsey got in on the action with his own individual effort and this capped off a good all-round performance from the Messi-Like winger.
The rout was finished off with another beautifully worked goal each from the the Brothers Steptoe, who were buzzing all night and justice was served to the not so twinkling Star Inn.

Tickets are on sale for the big clash on Monday and are available to anyone with a passion for the beautiful game!
