The Luckies fantastic form continued with victory over Roxford FC last night and they kept their 100% record for the season. This was surely the Luckies hardest game of the season so far.
The Luckies started the brightest with Powell opening the scoring, then Hudson scoring the second soon after. Roxford started to put pressure on the Luckies and pulled the score back to 2-1. SIL's restored their 2 goal advantage with Dempsey getting on the scoresheet, then went 4-1 up when Hudson got his second from a corner again. Roxford pulled a goal back again making the score at halftime 4-2.
As they did in the first half the Luckies started the half the better and soon went 5-2 with a goal from S. Steptoe, the Luckies hit six with Kingston smashing the ball past the keeper (but admitting after the game he was aiming for the keepers nuts). By then the result was never in doubt but towards the end of the game Roxford were piling on the pressure and got 2 goals back but it could of been more if it weren't for some good saves from Edgar and the post saving the Luckies once again.
The final score was 6-4 and keeps SIL's in pole position for promotion to Division 2.
